CULTURE IN BRAZIL

The culture in Brazil stems mainly from a western origin.  The indigenous people from the coastal regions and Portuguese and African people, however, have also played a big part.

The Portuguese empire is the core of Brazilian culture because the country was founded by the Poruguese.  Brazil's language, predominant religion, and colonial architectural styles can be contributed to the Portuguese.  Some culture can also be traced to Italy, Germany, and other European countries.

Such a diverse culture has helped to produce some celebrations and festivals like the Brazilian Carnival and the Bumba Mey Boi.  Over 1,000,000 tourists visit Brazil each year.
